‘Pray for Japan’ premiered to a full-house audience at the 333-seater theatre hall at Cinem@rt in Shinjuku Bunka Building on 6 March 2012. Besides the director Stu Levy, members of the production team, whose creative impetus collectively made the documentary possible were also present to share their thoughts on the project.
Some ‘heroes’ featured in ‘Pray for Japan’ also graced the event with their presence and shared with the audience the trials and tribulations while volunteering at the tsunami-stricken zones. The night ended in a tribulant climax with a live performance from music artists who contributed their talent to the ‘Pray for Japan’ soundtrack – Shinya Mizoguchi, taiko group M’s Japan Orchestra and Japanese rock star Okuda Tamio.

「Pray for Japan」の上映会は新宿のシネマートで3月6日に開催され、収容人数333席の映画館が満員御礼になるほどの方にご来場いただきました。上映会には、監督のStu Levy氏と製作にかかわったチームの方に加え、このドキュメンタリーフィルムの製作にきっかけやアイデアを与えていただいた協力者の方にもご参加いただきました。
「Pray for Japan」に登場した英雄の方々も参加し、ボランティアの最中に直面した苦難を試行錯誤で解決した経験を紹介いただきました。そして上映会は「Pray for Japan」のサウンドトラックの製作に協力したShinya Mizoguchi氏、太鼓グループのM’s Japan Orchestra、そして日本のロックスターの奥田民生氏のライプ演奏でクライマックスを迎えました。
