“I was skeptical when I first heard about the Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) that Petopia offers even after listening to the benefits.

There were some websites which mentioned about the harm it can do to those with cataracts. With Reeko aging, he has slight cataracts on both eyes, so I didn’t want to put him on any risk. I decided to consult a vet about the therapy and to arrange a cataract surgery for Reeko. I was informed by the vet that the therapy will be able to slow down the growth of cataracts if done on a regular basis.

It has been almost a year, and his eyesight remains sharp though still slightly cloudy. I have no plans of letting him undergo the surgery as I believe that the therapy can keep him healthy and strong.

He is turning 11 this year, but still managed to bark non-stop for 30minutes throughout the therapy and run a whole hour with me every weekend morning.

Although I can’t pinpoint exactly how the therapy has benefitted him, his new set of strong wiry coat has given me enough confidence to continue the therapy and I’m sure all his inner organs have all benefitted as well.”

Petopia has a commendable culture for caring for the animals: the level of professionalism and care towards Max is unprecedented

“Being allergic to poultry, Max has sensitive skin and he used to bite himself raw till there were bald spots on his body, particularly his paws. He was also starting to smell in a bad way.

While searching for an alternative solution for his condition, I happened to Google upon Petopia and decided to give it a try. Richard promptly attended to all inquiries and took the time to explain the various causes for Max’s skin condition and smell (possible yeast infection). He suggested the ultrasonic ozone spa and clay pack infrared therapy treatment.

While Max was occupied with his treatment the first time, Richard gave a walk-through about the premises. From the various play and rest areas, to the grooming and spa area, everything was neat and clean.

Having an open concept, the glass panels enable both owner and animal companion to see each other, which can be reassuring. Richard also gave some good recommendations and sound advice on pet products.

It has almost been a year and Max’s is not only enjoying his spa sessions, his fur is getting prettier and the bad smell gone! He is also scratching and biting a lot lesser these days. In fact I don’t catch him biting himself anymore.

Besides his physical condition getting better, his temperament has also improved tremendously with other dogs. Being a golden, Max is a super friendly dog but only towards humans. An incident where he was attacked as a puppy caused him to become hostile towards other dogs (both big and small). As a result of that incident he has been insecure around other dogs.

Since he started going to Petopia for his spa sessions he has calmed downed a lot and is starting to be sociable towards his kind. Thank you Petopia mascots (Oscar, Freya, Nash, Ginger, Emma and yes, even Sunny)!

Petopia has a commendable culture for caring for the animals: the level of professionalism and care towards Max is unprecedented (to me at least, I mean not only Max’s skin condition getting better, about also his temperament).

Everyone at Petopia is friendly and patient (with Max) – something I appreciate and thank you all for.

Truly a holistic experience!”
